1. Explain with examples the difference between civil and criminal law.
2. Explain the structure, function and procedure of a court
3. Explain the roles of Barristers, Solicitors and Judges in the legal process including the impact of at least one recent reform on these professions.
4. Explain the role of Magistrates and juries in the English legal system.
To achieve the higher grades of you need to demonstrate breadth of knowledge, and ensure factual accuracy; specifically:
(i) You must explain the differences between civil and criminal law using at least 3 examples (GD1). (ii) You must explain the roles of Barristers, Solicitors and Judges with very good levels of accuracy (GD2). (iii) Your answers should be logically structured and demonstrate reasonable grammatical correctness (GD7).
(i) In addition to the above, you must demonstrate an excellent grasp of knowledge, by drawing an outline structure of the court system in England, with excellent levels of accuracy (GD2).
