It is proposed that the assignment should take the form of a piece of theoretical writing drawing on your research findings. You may alternatively wish to focus on field work, methodological aspects or methods within the paper. You will however use this opportunity to theorise around what is emerging, synthesising this with existing knowledge and your particular context. In this way you will be able to work on a piece of critical and analytical writing which will be developed as you begin your formal writing of the doctoral thesis.
