The purpose of this assignment is to investigate human behaviour in the worklace and how it is used in key aspects of management.
Task 1. This task focuses on the different perspectives in occupational psychology.
1.0 Define behaviourist, cognitive and humanistic approaches.
1.1 For each approach explain key studies that have taken place. ( key studies to use:
Ivan Pavlov’s dog and Skinner Rat behaviour (Skinner (1948) studied operant conditioning by conducting experiments using animals which he placed in a `Skinner Box` which was similar to Thorndike’s puzzle box)
1.2 Take each approach and explore the impact of them in the beauty industry
1.3 Evaluate the strengths and limitations of quantitative and qualitative approaches in order to understand workplace behaviour
