Module issue 2.0

On February 28, 2022, the updated Ngā Paerewa Health and Disability Services Standard (NZS 8134:2021) came into effect. This replaces the current Standard dated 2008.

This update will supersede any references to the 2008 Standard in this module’s Learning resources and Assessment tasks and may impact some of the guidelines and principles that are outlined in the learning materials.

The updated Standard reflects the move towards more person- and whānau-centred health and disability services where people are empowered to make decisions about their own care and support.

If you have any queries about the guidelines and principles being utilised in your workplace or in relation to your assessment, please discuss this with your Manager or Assessor.
