Assignment: People Management and Risk (Unit code: U20589) Risk Module (PMR2)
Working individually, students are required to prepare an assignment which Critically evaluates theoretical concepts of risk management in relation to projects and how managing project risk relates to managing organisational risks and corporate strategy within their own organisation or an organisation about which published information is available*, drawing on theoretical and practical considerations covered in the taught unit. Students are required to identify theoretical concepts underpinning the topic area and relate these to the current practice in the chosen organisation, AND reflect on the analysis and make recommendations for changes or improvements. You should demonstrate the learning outcomes of the unit which in the main are to:
- Understand key challenges in the application of Risk Management both at project/operational and strategic/corporate levels - Formulate appropriate Risk Management strategies and plans in order to develop and embed effective project risk models, mitigation and contingency plans for appropriate action Presentation: Your assignment is to be presented in report format, including an executive summary, a contents page and a correctly presented reference list, and be 3000 words (plus contents page, references and appendices) in total. State the word count on the front page of your assignment. Text should be fully justified, in 1.5 line spacing, with a decimal numbering system used for headings and sub- headings.
