Assignment 1

Explain the link between management and leadership with specific reference to the difference between the two disciplines. Analyze and discuss how management and leadership impact strategic decisions and explain how leadership styles can be adapted to different situations in the workplace. Give practical examples from your own workplace and evaluate how the leadership style(s) followed there is suitable or unsuitable in achieving organisational objectives.

The assessment criteria that need to be considered are:

Apply the theories of management and leadership covered in the module and give practical application thereof based on your workplace experience.
