QUESTIONS FOR MODULE TWO HS&FP

This module comprises five topics and includes power points, think and reflect activities as well as things to create. (the next will have three topics only)

HINT:

If you have completed these activities as part of the ten hour per week commitment to studying this unit, most of the answers to the questions that follow will be copy and paste activities or brief answers at most.

  1. Some still have to tell me what their topic for assignment one.
  2. Provide the rationale for your project for assessment one- at least six good reasons why you should undertake this project.
  3. Write one goal statement for assignment and create a list of your objectives- at least four.
  4. List the headings that you find in your planning project for assignment one- and be careful to identify separate issues as separate chapters.
  5. Who should be involved in the planning team for your first assignment? (This list is called a stakeholder analysis).
  6. Against objectives for your project, list how these will be evaluated ie impact measures.

Week two will introduce the generic or gap analysis model of planning and also outline stages in the planning exercise, including the needs analysis.

By the end of this topic you should be able to:

  1. Describe the generic or gap analysis model of planning.
  2. Identify key components in a needs analysis. Think of where you usually live. What health actions are needed in that area?

  1. Understand how population health plans are structured around goals, objectives and strategies.

Reflect on types of strategies or actions that could address your goal. Write a few points in your learning journal so you don’t forget any good ideas

  2. Identify the likely section headings for assignment one.
