Evidence Based Practice Evidence Based Practice (EBP) is the application of the generally accepted evidence in making clinical and decisions through the combination of clinical expertise with the latest research findings, while still considering the patients’ preferences and values (Eizenberg, 2010). The recent emphasis on evidence-based practices in the general healthcare environment have had insightful impacts on such disciplines as mental health, nursing and medicine. EBP practice is mostly stimulated by the questions which emanate from the patient encounters relating to the side effects of therapy, relevance of diagnostic tests and the prospects of diseases.
