To design, build and test a digital speech recorder for demonstration and learning purposes
The student is required to build a digital speech recorder and illustrates the effects of sampling frequency, number of bits used to represent each sample and the quality of the filter used on the performance of the digital speech recorder.
The student needs to have good knowledge of both analogue and digital electronics. In addition a good knowledge of PCM is needed. Most of the knowledge needed for this project would have been acquired from some of the units in the course.
