Assignment Task:

In addition to this assignment brief, the requirements are outlined in the assignment hand out lecture (see schedule on Moodle for the date). Detailed below are some of the key tasks you should consider in producing your work.

Task 1:
The first task is for you to propose your own country group acronym of four emerging or developing countries, that is different to one that is already established e.g. different to BRIC, MINT, VISTA etc. You can select up to two (but no more than two) similar individual countries from an established group acronym to form your own approach, if you feel this to be appropriate. You must ensure that you propose a suitable acronym title that is professional, i.e. the four letters chosen should not be offensive to a public audience.

Task 2:
The second task is to justify your selection of countries based on the use of three different factors from a choice of economic, political, social, cultural and / or ethical criteria e.g. the choice could be a mix of economic, political and cultural issues. You cannot use one factor e.g. cultural for all of your work. Select your criteria using evidence based logic or factual data and remember to scope the criteria/ issues discussed within the word count permitted.

Task 3:
The third task is to ensure your proposed acronym considers factual organisations engaged in IGM. You should use an appropriate and different range of organisations for your examples i.e. you cannot use just one organisation as an example for all of your work.

Task 4:
Your work should relate to events predicted or likely to take place between now and the next decade.

The assignment should also contain the following:
• Your name and student ID.
• Structure: Include the correct title, a brief introduction, main body (discussing the main issues), conclusion and list of references.
