 You will, as part of your teaching experience, be required to plan, resource and deliver a learning sequence/series of lessons on a given topic from your specialist subject to a group of students in either Key Stage 3 or Key Stage 4.

Section 1

 Select one example from your teaching experience as the material for this assignment; the ‘project’.

 Submit for assessment selected teaching resources and evidence of an appropriate sample of learners’ work produced in response to the teaching of the series of lessons. The resources and evidence will be submitted in an appropriate format for your specialist subject to illustrate the ways in which your planning, teaching and assessment addresses one theme selected from the list provided (see below).

 The teaching resources and evidence of assessed learners’ work must be annotated and/or accompanied by a commentary to explain and justify your professional judgements. The format of your annotations / commentary will be dependent upon the nature and format of the materials submitted. This will account for the equivalent of 1000 words.

Section 2

 Write a reflection which focuses on the learning, teaching and the assessment of the topic in the context of one of the subject pedagogy workshops. This must be no more than 2000 words.

 Your reflection should suggest strategies to improve the outcomes for [some] learners and identify next steps in your own professional practice.

 At least one of the lessons taught during your school experience should be observed by your mentor and the written feedback also
