Part 1: Locate a peer-reviewed research article published in a scholarly journal related to psychology. The research must include quantitative methods. Write a 1000-word analysis of the article. Your analysis must include:
- A thesis statement indicating the results of your analysis
- The original hypothesis
- A description of the research design including the research model and methods employed; the type of data collection and analysis methods employed.
- A summary of key findings as they compare to the hypothesis
- Limitations and ethical concerns
Part 2: write a 800-1000-word research proposal based on the scientific method to determine:

- If sleep deprivation has an impact on short-term memory
The proposal must include:
- A hypothesis based on a review of the research to date
- A summary of the related and relevant research (cite at least three research studies)
- A proposed research design (e.g., descriptive, correlational, experimental) including:
® the methods to be employed
® a description of the target population
® data collection and analysis methods (qualitative and quantitative)
- A justification for the key components of the research design
- A discussion of potential ethical concerns and other possible limitations of the study
