Requirements

  1. Website map
  • Must be drawn using suitable graphics editor and included in the report.
    • Must be implemented as a separate Web pages with options which navigate to the other pages on the site.
    • Must present brief information about the student, the course and the modules studied
  • Default page of the site (i.e., index.html). It can be combined with some other functionality in the same page
  • Login form for future extensions of the Web site using server/side technologies. It can be integrated with other functions, or on a separate page
  • Contacting the student via email (via separate page, form or a hyperlink on the default page)
  • JavaScript for data verification of input fields and/or form validation
    • The pages can be designed using suitable tools but they can be also developed using plain text editor
    • The pages must be implemented using HTML, CSS and JavaScript only
    • The pages must use at least one common stylesheet with at least 3 elements on it
    • the site should be designed in such a way that from each page one can navigate back to the default page
    • from the default page one should be able to navigate to the sitemap
    • in the case of error pages one should be able to navigate back to the page which causes the error
    • in the case of buttons each button must lead to the default page of the site

The Web site must be tested and the tests must be reported in the written report. Particular attention must be paid at the following

  • Clicking on hyperlinks
  • Pressing buttons
  • Inputting text information
  • Selecting options or radio buttons and checking boxes
  • Changing browsers
  • After finishing work the Web site must be uploaded to the School Web server using the credentials provided by the workshop tutors to each student individually.
  • The deployment must follow the instructions which are published in a separate file on WebLearn.
  • Each student must prepare a written report to present the specification, design and and implementation of the individual Web site
  • The individual report must include a reflection on the work done
  • The individual report must be named using the ID of the student (i.e,  I123456789.pdf)
