What offences (if any) have been committed in the following scenarios:
(a) James went for dinner at his friend Peter`s house one night. The following morning James realised that he has misplaced his phone. James called Peter to find out whether he had left it at Peter`s. Peter who had alread noticed that his friend had left the phone at hishouse, lied to James, saying that he could not find it at his house. Peter thereafter gifts it to his sister Pat.
(b) Sandra, a student visits the administrative office and she notices that one of the secretaries has left her bag unattended and when no one was looking he decides to search it but finds nothing worth stealing. She notices an envelope with £10 notes in the staff pigeon hole and takes that instead.
(c) Natasha enters a fast food restaurant as a customer. She goes behind the serving counter to the till whilst the owner is distracted. She takes £50 from the till.
