We have discussed various aspects of entrepreneurship and small business development. In particular, we have recognised that successful entrepreneurs possess a special set of personal abilities and characteristics (traits) and are shaped by antecedent influences such as education.
Drawing on material from the lecture and independent research, construct a detailed analysis of an individual, entrepreneur. Your analysis should look at the entrepreneurs background (younger years), triggering event and management of the business.
In particular, you should examine the:
The entrepreneur’s personal characteristics (traits)
Start-up influences
Situational Factors
Antecedent Influences (e.g. social and demographic influences)
You must personally interview the entrepreneur you choose in order to analyse his/her nature, characteristics and behaviour.
You should conduct a thorough review of the relevant literature and relate it directly to the entrepreneur’s profile. The better answers will provide a thorough analysis of the entrepreneur’s profile by drawing on relevant theories from the literature.
