If you have decided what topic area that you want to conduct your research topic on then you can blend your own research design into the sections of the research portfolio.
However, you may not have decided your own research topic area before you submit your research portfolio. If you have not decided your topic area you just need to explain the principles of the research process in each section of the portfolio.
The overview below provides detail of issues you can CHOOSE to discuss in the portfolio. You do NOT need to include everything below – this document is designed to give you an idea of what might be covered. We will cover all of these different process areas in our sessions in Term 1 and the start of Term 2.

By the end of this module, students will be able:
1. To write a high-quality research proposal for their final research project that shows valid choices about:
a. Research questions;
b. Aim and objectives;
c. Literature and theory;
d. Data collection and data analysis, and
e. Research ethics
2. To develop a critical understanding of how to conduct in an organisational setting
3. To understand rigour and ethics in the research process
