Task Details / Description:
Critically review and discuss two tools or techniques used by employers to assess the suitability of applicants or candidates in a recruitment and selection setting. You must include a review of how the effectiveness of your chosen tools/techniques can be maximised and also how effectiveness can be assessed. You should also include any aspects of diversity and inclusion that are relevant to your topic. Your critical analysis must consider the tools or techniques from both an academic and a practitioner perspective. It must be evidence-based not based on your personal opinions.
Notes for guidance:
Do not attempt to write a general essay on recruitment and selection. You are expected to write an in-depth and critical review of your chosen topics, and include citations to support the points you are making.
Your essay must reflect that you have engaged with the material covered in this module and in the core text books. You also should demonstrate wider reading around your chosen topic by citing relevant and recent articles from reputable sources.
You are required to submit an essay of 2500 words.
The word count includes citations in the main text but does not include any tables, graphs and the list of bibliography at the end of the assignment.
