In this assignment you will create the following for your term project:
1. Stakeholder Registry & Analysis
2. Communications Plan
The stakeholder register must include at least 7 stakeholders for your project. You do NOT need to have specific names of people but rather identify your stakeholders as roles related to the project. To identify stakeholders, think through the following questions:
 Who is involved in doing the project?
 Who is needed to provide resources for the project? i.e. a supplier, another department in the organization
 Who is the project being done for?
 Who are the customers or users of the project deliverables? Stakeholders can be individuals and groups of people
Identify each of the project stakeholder’s interest and potential impact on the project. Identify the goals of your stakeholders and how you will manage each stakeholder.
For example, high-impact and high-interest stakeholders should be proactively managed on a sustained basis. The goals may be to ensure they are informed frequently and that if there are any project surprises they would hear them first. They can accurately communicate project objectives and progress to their colleagues.
Based on the stakeholder register and analysis, create a communications plan that will support stakeholder management goals. The communication plan is to include the following (Template is provided in D2L):
 Trigger (situation causing the need for communication
 Audience
 Expected Result or Goal of Communication
 Frequency
 Venue
 Feedback/escalation process
 Proof of Comm.
The communications plan should take into consideration the audience’s time and availability to receive or participate in the communication. To evaluate this, think about the audience’s relationship to the project and/or the position and authority level of the individual. For example:
 A Vice President will have several different demands on their time and will likely not be able to receive regular project updates in an in-person meeting every day.
 A full-time project team member will be working on the project and should have lots of availability to receive and/or participate in project communication.
