C91PA Professional Practice I Reflective Practice Log Assessment

This assessment will evaluate your performance against all the course learning objectives:

1. Apply detailed knowledge and critical understanding of Sport Psychology practice including ethics and professional standards, philosophical underpinnings and applications, intake processes, and needs analysis frameworks, methods and analysis. (40%)

2. Apply detailed knowledge and critical understanding of reflective practice to critically reflect upon their learning, enterprising, and professional development as an aspiring sport psychologist. (40%)

3. Critically review and develop your assignment in response to formative feedback and reflective learning on the programme, detailing how you creatively explored and solved problems to industry-relevant global matters. (10%)

4. Apply detailed knowledge and critical understanding of principles that align to APA publication guidelines and present work in a manner appropriate for the assignment. (10%)

Generic critical reflection approach

Your individual reflections that comprise the reflective log should be informed by the following criteria or principles:

• Be underpinned by the principles of a structured reflective practice theory or approach. For example; using either the integrative reflective cycle or the CARL framework. 

• Make clear reference to both academic skills reflections AND applied `industry` practice/knowledge reflections. 

• Incorporate informal and formal formative feedback (please see ‘types of feedback’ document’) and show a clear connection between the feedback and your knowledge, skills and competency development in Sport Psychology Professional Practice.    

NB: Reflecting with more cognitive and emotional depth on situations or events gives the assessors a more comprehensive feel for your development. It is also important that you consider, and make appropriate reference to, the extant professional practice literature in your reflections.

Reflective log Coursework Assessment

You will be tasked with completing and shaping a reflective log-book and accompanying video/vlog which will address the following taught elements: Your reflective log should comprise of a choice of 6 of the following topics (500 words each area) which are covered throughout this course:

1. Ethics, EDI and Professional Practice Standards

6. Virtual reality needs analysis methods
7. Psycho-physiological needs analysis methods
