Upon the successful completion of this module, the student should be able to:
• Demonstrate knowledge and critical understanding of innovation, creativity and enterprising mindset, recognising the values and the contribution creativity makes to the common good.
• Conceive, articulate and apply creative thinking within a work-based or academic context to develop novel solutions and/or value creation.
Students are required to produce an online portfolio comprising of set exercises/activities via the Moodle Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). Students will need to demonstrate a proactive and reflective approach to their learning during the module lectures and online activities available on this module’s Moodle page
The module material of the lectures aid students in the development of the concepts and practice of creativity and value creation for the development of innovative, aspiring and progressive solutions. Students should apply their learning to the health and social care context. Students will be prompted during the lectures to complete online activities to engage in online forum postings and other exercises to demonstrate knowledge and understanding which can be utilised within a health and social care context.
Engagement with the VLE, and online activities is monitored by the module lecturer. Students are expected to complete 2,000 words (+/- 10%) overall, when completing the online activities.
