ECON1001 Global Economic Concepts Case Study Assignment

Overview:

This is a group assignment that allows students to apply what they learned in ECON 1001. Students will explain one or more basic global macroeconomics concepts and principles (CLO 2).

They will also explain why the concept is important, as they apply it to Qatar.

Minimum requirements

1. Students need to complete and submit a paper of 250 to 300 words.
2. It can be on any of the CLO 2 Macroeconomic Topics below:
   1. GDP vs GNI
   2. Human Development Index
   3. Unemployment and Employment
   4. Business Cycles
   5. Monetary Policy - Goals and Functions and
   6. Fiscal Policy Government Spending and revenues

1. Students paper will:
   1. Include a short review and reference to one or two articles or news items on the topic
   2. Discuss one of the Macroeconomic concept/s learned in class
   3. Explain the importance of this concept/s to Qatar.
   4. Use of their own language (no copy pastes of the article or other material)
   5. No plagiarism
