You should select a topic from the field of educational psychology which you consider to be both current and of practical use in the training of teachers (new or experienced). ‘Teachers’ may include those involved at any level of education and training. The topic does not have to have been covered formally within the module, but it must be clearly relevant to the field of educational psychology.
Your task is to develop a seminar around the topic which would be suitable for delivery to new and/or experienced teachers (at any or all levels of education). The emphasis should be on the application of theory in teaching practice.
You are required to submit a detailed written proposal including full details of your seminar. The proposal should include details of the rationale and justification, intended audience/participants, planned content, planned method of delivery / instructional approaches with a rationale for the chosen method/approaches, level of intended audience participation, any necessary prior knowledge/experience of participants and intended outcomes (e.g., skills, knowledge).
On successful completion of this assessment, you will be able to:
