Purpose:
The purpose of this assignment is to provide students with an opportunity to apply
their course knowledge of Qatar Employment Law. The assignment is an analysis and
application of current laws and legal resources in Qatar Employment Law.
In pairs, students will design an INFOGRAPHIC based on Topic 1, an Overview of
Employment-Related Law.
Assumption: You are the HR Manager and want to provide an overview of the
Employment-related laws and legal resources to your supervisors. Your goal is to
educate the supervisors that there are many laws and resources to understand. You
also want your supervisors to understand their role in helping the company to be
compliant to the laws and legal processes in Qatar. Therefore, you want to briefly
summarize the employment laws and legal resources for the supervisors so they can
appreciate the severity of being compliant.
You are NOT explaining the laws or legal resources in detail. You should highlight the
overarching philosophy or meaning of the law and legal resources and explain their
importance. As the HR Manager, you are responsible for ensuring compliance to the
laws through the implementation of policies and practices at the workplace. This
infographic should be a visually appealing opportunity for you to communicate an
overview of the employment-related laws in Qatar. The infographic will help the
supervisors understand that not all situations may be treated in the same way and the
law is the basis and foundation for many decisions related to the employer-employee
relationship.

Infographic Overview:
An Infographic graphic visual is a representation of information, data, or knowledge
and intended to present information quickly and clearly. Infographics can improve
cognition by utilizing graphics to enhance the human visual system`s ability to see
patterns and trends. An Infographic assists with understanding information, especially
for visual learners.
The infographic is a visual of the information rather than PowerPoint or word
document. An infographic is colourful, interesting, attractive and helps us to learn.
Be curious and creative.
Grading:
The grading will be based on an appealing, creative, and informative infographic,
which includes an overview of the employment’s laws and legal resources as per the
instructions above and as discussed in class in Topic 1.
The HRMG3020 e-Portfolio is a shareable platform that is meant to be updated
continually throughout your Qatar Employment Law course. The goal of HRMG3020 is
to gather a wide range of supporting documents that can be used in real world
employment applications.
