Purpose of the Assessment This assessment gives groups of 4 students the opportunity to research and review information about the strategic direction of an employer and apply their learning about strategic human resource management.
Part 1: Research sources (20 marks)
Provide a copy of an annotated bibliography, with a minimum of ten (10) sources outlined. The format of the bibliography should follow CHICAGO citation formatting. When writing an annotated bibliography, summarize the main ideas, arguments, and findings of each source, but also how you and your team will use this information in your report. Ensure that you are critical in your analysis of the information. Minimum requirements are:

External Sources (secondary research through the library): a minimum of three (3) sources
➢
Internal Sources (company-released information): a minimum of two (2) sources
When selecting your sources, consider the relevance of the information to the project, authority and credibility of the source, publication date and currentness (no older than ten (10) years), and choose a variety of sources (academic journals, books, reputable websites), with a range of perspectives.
Part 2: Progress Report(s) (20 marks)
A)
I will again meet with each team to review the project’s progress. There will be one (1), possibly two (2) meetings during class over the semester.
B)
A 10-minute presentation looking at the highlights of the project.

Each team member must be present and contribute to the team’s presentation.
•
If a team member is absent for the presentation, they will receive a zero (0) grade for this portion of the project. Due to time constraints during the final weeks of the semester, there may be not be an opportunity to re-schedule the presentation time, but please speak with me should difficulties arise.
Part 3: Complete Company Profile (60 marks)
Report Formatting:
A. Executive Summary (5 marks) Content: Provide a 1-page summary highlighting crucial information for executive decision-making (e.g., recruitment issues, key findings from environmental scanning).
Focus: Emphasize aspects that directly impact strategic decisions.
B. Company Introduction (background information) (5 marks)
Content: Include detailed background information such as:

Mission, Vision, Goals/Objectives

C. Company Analysis (15 marks)
Content: Include detailed background information such as:
