Identify the deep excavation techniques ideal for deep basements and retaining structures.
Distinguish between structural and non-structural forms ideal for large industrial buildings well as those associated with commercial buildings
Identify the different piling systems and conditions which dictate their use
Be able to select and specify water proofing techniques for deep basement and underground retaining structures
Demonstrate an understanding of structural composite materials and associated structural behaviour of high rise buildings.
Appraise the various cladding materials applicable to both high-rise and the conditions that dictate their use.
