Think about a problem in your workplace and describe it including the Nature (Type), Scope
(How widespread and frequent) and Impact (What it affects).

In my factory there is a problem with a defect in one of our products, this problem can further
be described as follows:
Nature – This is a technical problem which could be as a result of poor quality, incorrect
specification and different use of the product that it was designed for. It could also be due to
lack on awareness of how to use the product correctly. An analysis will help to identify the
cause.
Scope – This problem affects only one of our products so the scope can be described as
narrow. None of our other products are having the same problem. It is therefore isolated and
restricted in its scope.
Impact – This problem an lead to customer complaints, item returns and is costing the
company money and damaging our reputation.
