Task 1 - LO1 Analyse the influence of culture, politics and power on the behaviour of others in an organisational context. Scenario 1 You have applied for a position of ‘‘assistant store manager” in Samsung Retail store in UK. The company has asked all candidates to carry out a research about organisational culture, motivation and team building practices within business organisations. The company would use this report for short listing of the candidates. Your report should cover topics given in Task.
Task 2 - LO2: Evaluate how to motivate individuals and teams to achieve a goal. LO3 Demonstrate an understanding of how to cooperate effectively with others. Scenario 2 Your first report has been approved by the company, now Samsung want you to present another written report which should include findings from research about topics mentioned in Task 2.
Task 3 - LO4: Apply concepts and philosophies of organisational behaviour to a given business situation. Scenario 3 for Task 3 After successful submission of your reports you have been offered a job by Samsung. During probation period your Store Manager informed you that some of their sales representatives face difficulties in achieving their sales targets. He wants to motivate his sales representatives to improve their sales figures in the coming six-month period, and believes that path-goal theory might help to achieve his objectives.
