The assessment task requires students to produce a Voiceover PowerPoint presentation that identifies two (2) relevant ethical principles relating to the Case Study provided and the content in NUR3020 course. Students are required to respond to the questions posed about the case study in the PowerPoint presentation and provide a voiceover audio. A transcript that includes the discussion and core assignment requirements must be provided.
As the complexities of caring for a patient in the Australian Healthcare system increases there is a need to improve our critical thinking processes within the complexity of organisations, peers, and patients. The registered nurse is affected by the awareness and importance of our professional responsibility when ethical issues arise in practice. Monitoring quality standards in aged care whilst providing residents with choice is complex. The Aged Care Safety and Quality Commission has now provided care services with Fact Sheets for aged care residents that enable choice in perceived areas of risk. Sharing ethical principles and practice issues form part of the role of a registered nurse as case studies in practice occur every day. These new Fact Sheets provide residents with choice and registered nurses with several ethical considerations in practice. Ultimately the decisions of a registered nurse can improve, change, or benefit patients, families, colleagues, and peers.
The audio-visual PowerPoint presentation and transcript require the student to provide the following:
• A PowerPoint Voiceover presentation addressing the questions in the task detail section.
• The Voiceover presentation should not exceed 100MB in size.
• The Voiceover presentation is a maximum of 5 minutes duration and is to be recorded by you.
• A transcript of the recording must be provided and submitted with a copy of the recorded presentation
