Purpose The purpose of this assessment is for students to demonstrate their understanding of sociological concepts in relation to community and macro level health behaviour. Students must critically appraise a sociological theory in relation to the essay topic by considering strengths, limitations and real-world application. The task will also assess relevant academic skills, specifically the use of appropriate evidence
Considering social gradients, discuss and critically analyse common social inequalities that lead to differences in health outcomes within an Australian context.
