In this assignment, you will work in a team of 3-4 students.

The objective of this assignment is to plan an email marketing campaign. The focus of the campaign is to promote UDST to an external audience (not current students, or employees). There are several possible audiences for this, such as: high school students, organizations that hire graduates; organizations that sponsor students, and others. Select the audience you wish to target.

Submission Components:

Once your documents are created for each of the following parts, you can submit each, clearly labelled, in your D2L Drop Box.

1-      Identify the marketing department`s goals for the email campaign. For example, the business might want to increase applications, drive website traffic, promote a new program, or engage with its audience. Quantify the overall goal of the campaign.

2-      Define the target audience for the email campaign. Who are the customers or potential customers the business wants to reach? Develop a segmentation strategy to divide the email list into groups based on demographics, interests, or past purchases. The strategy should rely on current data of your audience’s characteristics (e.g., geographic location, demographic data).

3-      In Mail Chimp, you will develop an email content strategy that includes the following:
a. Subject line: Write a subject line that is catchy, relevant, and creates a sense of urgency or curiosity.
b. Preview text: Write a preview text that complements the subject line and entices the recipient to open the email.
c. Email content and design: Create a visually appealing email that is easy to read and highlights the most important information. Use an image, or images.

d. Interactive component: Create at least one interactive component such as videos, GIFs, or surveys to make the email more engaging.

e. Call-to-action (CTA): Include a clear and compelling CTA that encourages the recipient to take action, such as making a purchase, signing up for a newsletter, or visiting the business`s website.

4-      Create a timeline for the email campaign. When will the email be sent? How many follow-up emails will be sent, and when? How long will the campaign run?

5-      Develop a measurement plan to track the success of the email campaign. What metrics will you use to measure success, such as open rate, click-through rate, conversion rate, or revenue generated? How will you analyze and interpret the data? Refer to industry benchmarks whilst analyzing this data.
