In this assessment, students will be required to address a topic of discussion that will be provided at the end of each of the1st three topics.

These questions are posed for you to reflect on in the form of written discussion in "Discussion Boards". As this is a postgraduate course, it is expected that your writen responses will provide you an opportunity to express your personal and professional views. Justifiying the answers with valid references is key to these activities.

Post your forum entries at the end of each of the 1st three topics by the due dates provided above. The final marks for this assessment will be provided pafter the mid session break.

As this is a graduate course, more is expected from students in the way of participation, the opinions of students are actively sought to demonstrate that the reading material has been read, understood and provoked a response. The aim of this task is to solicit written responses from students, giving them an opportunity for expressing opinions from their understanding of the topic and their professional experiences.

Also being an online course, regular posting on the forum promotes the cohesion of the cohort and a notion of group learning. This assessment item aims to assess the following learning objectives of this subject :

• be able to explain how data flows through the internet;
• be able to ascertain and evaluate selection of applications and protocols for transferring data across the internet; and
• be able to discuss the evolution and ongoing change of the internet.

The written responses for each topic will be reviewed and assessed by the Subject Coordinator

• Constructive engagement in conversations to build learning community.

Mimimum 2 out of 3 forum submissions are required to pass this assessment.
